Razer is know for putting 16 million different colors of light throughout their products, but if you wanted something a little less sparkly goth looking you had to settle for black. Not anymore! Razer announced yesterday that they are making their products in Gunmetal (grey) and Mercury (white).
I personally like my keyboards and peripherals to be white with Orange and Purple being the accent (colors of the site). So having the option to change up the base color of different Razer products is a good step for the company. I know a lot of people don’t like their stuff because they think it is overpriced, but it is still good quality products. They wouldn’t still be around if the stuff they made was shit, or at least I hope they wouldn’t.
Here are some pictures of the new products. The colors are only for 4 items. I would assume if these go over well they would add that option to more, but that is uncertain and just speculation.
So they look cool, and obviously they do nothing but change the color. This means a lot to some people though. I would have never considered a Razer Keyboard for at home because all of my stuff is white, now I could consider it. Many gamers are all about matching, and this will help them do that.
Good move by Razer!
Fun Fact: Although Alfred Hitchcock is widely considered one of the best directors in the history of cinema and was nominated five times, the master of suspense never won an Oscar. Hitchcock did receive the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, but he was never recognized for individual achievement in a competitive Academy Award vote.
